Seventh-day Adventist churches across Albania officially launched OneVoice27 on Sabbath, 5 September 2026, joining a worldwide movement that seeks to unite Adventists around one mission and prepare them for a special year of evangelism in 2027.
During the launch, pastors invited members to use their spiritual gifts to share Jesus across Albania’s 12 counties. The launch also marked the beginning of a year of spiritual preparation, with churches focusing on prayer using a year-long prayer calendar, personal devotion and finding opportunities to reach others.
A Personal Testimony of Faith
On the same Sabbath, when members across Albania were encouraged to consider whom they could reach out to as part of the OneVoice27 initiative, Eralba Imeraj was baptised and became part of the Tirana Central Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Delmar Reis, who accompanied Imeraj on her journey towards joining the church and baptised her, described her testimony as an example of how personal relationships, prayer and spiritual support can lead people towards faith. “Sometimes evangelism is about meeting someone for the first time. Other times, it is about reconnecting with someone who was once close. And often, the result comes after months, or even years, of prayer, friendship and presence,” Reis said.
OneVoice27 Preparation
Although OneVoice27 was officially launched this month, preparations in Albania began several months ago. Since April 2026, pastors across the country have been meeting weekly to pray, plan and consider how to involve their local churches and communities in OneVoice27.
Together, they have been developing strategies for every stage of the journey, from preparing churches for the launch to creating ways for members to remain engaged and spiritually connected throughout the months ahead.
Throughout September, church members will receive resources designed to keep the vision of OneVoice27 present in their daily lives and help them prepare spiritually for the year ahead.
Among these is a year-long prayer calendar, running from September 2026 to August 2027. With 12 counties across Albania, each month will focus on one area, inviting members throughout the country to pray specifically for that county and the people living there. The calendar is intended to encourage churches across Albania to spend the coming months praying for the people and places they hope to reach before events are organised, invitations are sent, and evangelistic initiatives begin.
Alongside the prayer calendar, members will receive a personal devotional resource to encourage them in their spiritual journey. The preparation will take place on two levels: collectively, as churches across the country, and personally, as each member is encouraged to grow spiritually and consider how they can personally reach others.
