Dr. phil. Friedegard Foeltz, MA in Religion, Dipl. Social Work/Socialpaedagogics, is a lecturer and head of the B.A. Social Work program in the Department of Christian Social Work at Friedensau Adventist University in Friedensau, Germany, where she started teaching in 2001. Besides her degree in Social Work/Socialpaedagogics, she studied Social Sciences and Art at the University of Bremen. She received her Master´s degree in Religion from Andrews University, Michigan. For her dissertation, she did a qualitative study with foster parents in Saxony-Anhalt who took in children and youth with disabilities. Her research focus is on child and youth welfare, especially foster care, disability and traumatology.
