Leaders across the Trans-European Division (TED) have been invited to begin preparing for a major global media evangelism initiative, known as OneVoice27, set to culminate in September 2027. The initiative was presented by Daniel Duda, TED President, during the Division’s Annual Council, following the official introduction of the project at the General Conference’s Annual Council in October 2025.

OneVoice27 is a worldwide evangelistic emphasis that seeks to mobilise every member in mission through media. While each region is encouraged to design its own local approach, the shared goal is to create media-centred outreach projects that point people to God, with a particular focus on Jesus in the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation.

Speaking during the meeting, Duda outlined the vision and urged leaders to think collaboratively about how their unions and conferences could engage in the initiative. He emphasised the need to equip churches and members for media outreach and highlighted the power of media in reaching new audiences with the gospel.

Supporting the call to digital mission, Duda presented a series of global statistics to underline the urgency and opportunity of the moment. He noted that 63.9 percent of the global population is active on social media, with platforms like YouTube and TikTok alone reaching billions of users. By 2029, radio listenership is expected to reach 3.2 billion. Additionally, 2.2 billion books are sold annually, affirming that while digital tools are essential, books remain a vital medium for transmitting truth. One of the most striking figures shared was that people around the world now spend 14 billion hours per day on social media.

Leaders across the Division were reminded that as communication habits shift globally, the Church must be present and active in these digital spaces. Duda invited leaders to embrace innovation while staying rooted in Scripture and Adventist identity.

Throughout the project, members and leaders are being encouraged to study The Desire of Ages, a classic book by Ellen G. White, co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The emphasis on the prophetic books of Daniel and Revelation was further reinforced by a statement from Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, page 114:

“When the books of Daniel and Revelation are well understood, believers will experience a wholly different religious life. They will be granted glimpses of the open gates of heaven, so that both heart and mind are impressed with the kind of character all must develop in order to receive the blessedness promised to the pure in heart.”

In response to the presentation, leaders from across the TED voiced support for the initiative. Victor Marley, President of the Norwegian Union Conference, expressed his appreciation for the project and affirmed its potential to engage members in meaningful ways. Bjørn Ottesen, President of the Danish Union of Churches Conference, also spoke positively about the opportunities ahead, stating, “Many of us in Europe are in small unions and have limited resources… We should consider working together and collaborating on this project.”

The initiative is being coordinated globally, while giving each field the freedom to decide how best to implement the strategy in their territory. More information is available at OneVoice27.org, where unions, conferences and local churches can find resources, planning tools and strategic guidance. Funding will also be made available to help support projects that align with the goals of the initiative, with an emphasis on empowering members and churches to be active participants in mission. As the global Church looks ahead to September 2027, leaders in the TED are being encouraged to start planning now.
