Thousands of donations arrived in Ukraine yesterday. Mattresses, blankets, pillows, medicines and food supplies were delivered by the Romanian Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). The ADRA van “Hope for Ukraine” arrived in the city of Chernivtsi. A significant portion of the donations was transferred to other vehicles in order to be distributed in Kyiv and other areas of the country. The staff members delivering the items did not face difficulties and returned home safely.

ADRA Europe has launched a fundraising appeal to support water sanitation programmes, distribute winterization materials and cash vouchers, and evacuate vulnerable people. “In Ukraine and in neighbouring countries, ADRA is preparing its teams to protect lives and bring support to those in need,” said João Martins, ADRA Europe director. “With the help of the staff, coordinators, and volunteers, ADRA is responding in different parts of the country.” Donations are channelled through local ADRA offices.
