21 May 2015 | Satoraljaujhely, Hungary [Eric Kormos, tedNEWS] From 3-9 May 2015 an evangelistic series titled ‘The Last Empire’ was held in Satoraljaujhely, Hungary close to the Slovak border. The speaker for the series was Anthony Kent, Associate Secretary of the Adventist Ministerial Association at the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
This was the second time that Kent has held an evangelistic series in this region. The first being held seven years ago. The series was organised by the local Seventh-day Adventist Pastor, Erik Kromos, as part of the Bible Club (a follow-up to the Open University Programme held by the Hungarian Theological Seminary).
Each meeting was attended by around 50-60 guests along with the local church members. Amongst the attendees was the principle of the Hungarian-Slovakian Bilingual Elementary School, which resulted in Kent being invited to visit to school and interact with students.
During his visit, Kent also had a privilege to visit the University in Sarospatak and to talk with the chairmen and some professors about the Seventh-day Adventist church.
Kent’s visit to Satoraljaujhely was truly a blessed one and we would like to thank the General Conference as well as the Trans-European Division for their continuous support.
