In a seasonal end-of-year message to Trans-European Division (TED) members, Daniel Duda, president, reflects on the past year and gives thanks for the way each has reflected God’s love through daily tasks, interactions, and innovative ideas. In addition, Duda commends their spirit of service, driven by a hope-filled mission.
Addressing concerns about world conditions where there is turmoil through war, political unrest and uncertainty, Duda shares the roots of biblical hope, noting that ‘It is difficult to have (personal) peace if you draw hope from circumstances.”
Ending with prayer, Duda’s wish is that all may ‘overflow with hope’ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Growth in 2025?
As the year ends, so does the current series of Sabbath School lessons. For the first quarter of 2025, the lessons focus on “God’s Love and Justice”, examining the character and nature of God – his love, law, justice, wrath, and providence- including consideration of the ‘Cosmic Conflict’ theme. Three versions of the study guide are available: Standard, Teacher’s, and Easy Reading. Another website provides a variety of print and audio study support guides in English and Serbian, among other languages.
Among the many discussion groups available to enrich personal study, Pine Knoll podcasts and study helps are independent of but follow the topics of the Sabbath School Quarterly. Jon Paulien (former Dean of Loma Linda School of Religion) and Daniel Duda lead the discussions. Click on the image to access all the study resources Pine Knoll offers.
