Eight young adults from Latin America have begun serving as student missionaries at LifeStyleTV in Sweden, supporting the ministry’s media production, community outreach and retreat programmes. The group, aged 18 to 25, arrived on 23 April and is now actively involved in various ministry initiatives connected with LifeStyleTV and the surrounding community in Värmland.
Three of the student missionaries studied media at River Plate Adventist University, an Adventist institution in Argentina. Others are pursuing studies in theology and psychology.
Since their arrival, the students have become involved in community life and church activities. Five members of the group sing in a local Lutheran church choir, where their participation has been warmly welcomed. Two others are active in a Bible study group in the nearby town of Arvika, about 20 kilometres from the LifeStyleTV campus.
The student missionaries are also helping prepare and deliver a new season of programmes and outreach activities through LifeStyleTV’s media ministry. Their work includes practical service, media involvement and community engagement, giving them opportunities for professional development and cross-cultural mission experience.
In addition, the group is helping prepare for the new LifeStyleSTAY retreat season, supporting guests who come to the ministry’s retreat hotel for short stays focused on rest, health and spiritual renewal.
