How a group of asylum seekers transformed a church

The congregation was so small that the members were about to return the keys of the building. But then, a group of displaced people from Venezuela arrived and completely transformed the church! Travel to Reykjavik, Iceland, with Vanesa Pizzuto to learn all about these resilient bunch.

Each year the Adventist community comes together to mark World Refugee Day with a special Sabbath (Saturday) programme and activities. This year, on 17 June, we observe World Refugee Sabbath—a day dedicated to embrace refugees and internally displaced individuals worldwide. It is a time to honour and celebrate their remarkable resilience while engaging in learning, prayer, and meaningful action to support their needs.
