The General Conference (GC) Office of Adventist Mission is launching a new integrated digital platform at AdventistMission.org that brings together mission stories, videos, resources, initiatives, and breaking mission news. Featuring the broad range of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission endeavours, it also focuses on Global Mission’s groundbreaking initiatives to reach unreached people groups and start new groups of believers.
Launched June 1 and continuing to roll out this summer, AdventistMission.org consolidates multiple mission-focused resources into a single digital home. “For years, mission stories were often experienced separately through magazines, videos, television programs, or individual websites,” said Earley Simon, Communication Projects manager for Adventist Mission. “This new platform helps bring those experiences together.” Adventist Mission plans to increase the number of languages in which mission resources are available.
“Our church was created for mission to the world,” said Rick McEdward, executive secretary of the GC. “I’m delighted that amazing and abundant mission stories will be more accessible. Stories such as those on this new website have inspired families to be missionaries for generations.”
Rather than simply presenting a single article or video, the new site is designed to help users discover related stories, interviews, educational resources, and historical content connected to the same themes, regions, projects, and mission initiatives.
“Our goal was not simply to build a website, but to create a simpler and more user-centred experience,” said Simon.
The AdventistMission.org platform is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s broader Adventist.Cloud initiative that supports collaboration and digital ministry across church entities. “It’s a joy to welcome Adventist Mission into the Adventist.Cloud family of platforms,” says Richard Stephenson, associate treasurer of the GC. Stephenson, who oversees technology strategy and operations at the GC, points to Adventist Mission’s “front-line mission focus, their pioneering work, and their call to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people.” He adds, “The technology is never the mission; it is the bridge, and a website does not make a disciple, but it opens a digital door.”
“I’m excited to see the new website up and running!” said Gary Krause, director of Adventist Mission. “It’s better than ever—a one-stop mission site for church members, pastors, and leaders. You’ll find stories, mission news, photos, videos—everything you need to inform, inspire, and challenge you regarding the church’s worldwide mission. Church members will see their tithe and mission offerings at work, as well as advances Global Mission is making in church planting around the world.”
Adventist Mission leaders express appreciation for support from the GC Adventist Technology team, Hope Channel International, and Hope Media Europe in developing AdventistMission.org.
