On 31 March 2026, the Hungarian Union Conference (HUC) Communication Department launched Ask the President, a live webinar bringing together HUC President Tamás Ócsai, pastors, and local church board members for open dialogue with church leadership. The initiative gave participants an opportunity to raise questions directly and engage with issues affecting the Adventist Church in Hungary.
Participants were invited to submit their questions in advance during registration, helping ensure that key concerns and topics of interest could be addressed during the webinar. Following a brief presidential update at the beginning, the webinar transitioned into an extended question-and-answer segment.
Moderated by Ernő Ősz-Farkas, HUC Communication Department director, the 90-minute session provided space for both pre-submitted and live questions. No topic was off-limits—participants raised even the most sensitive issues, all of which were addressed openly.
Feedback from attendees highlighted the event as a trust-building experience, with many expressing appreciation for the transparency and requesting similar opportunities in the future.
The initiative reflects a growing expectation within the church community: leadership decisions require not only clear communication of outcomes, but also insight into the reasoning and context behind them.
