30 March 2016 | Warsaw, Poland [Daniel Maikowski and Andrzej Siciński] Seventh-day Adventist leaders in Poland recently met with the country’s President and First Lady to give them an Adventist ‘VIP package’.
The Polish President is not the only one to receive a ‘VIP package’. This remarkable evangelistic initiative undertaken by the Church in Poland aims to reach out to politicians and parliamentarians. The rationale behind the programme, they state, is based on the recognition in Scripture that we should have respect for our political leaders [1 Peter 2,13-14.17 & Romans 13:1-4].
Their prayer is, that as these materials are shared with this group of such influential people that it will both help them with the huge impact they have on society, and give them a better understanding of the religious minorities resident in their country.
The ‘VIP Package’ project is a joint initiative of the Executive Committee of the Adventist Church in Poland, the Secretariat of Public Affairs and Religious Liberty and the Publishing House, ‘Signs of the Times’. [tedNEWS]
