Every year, the Trans-European Division (TED) and the Inter-European Division (EUD) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church host GAiN Europe, an event designed to inspire, train, and connect church communication professionals from across both divisions. This year’s conference will be held in Budva, Montenegro, from 15-19 November 2024, with a special emphasis on supporting young Christian digital creatives.
Calling All Young Digital Creatives!
Recognising that younger influencers and media enthusiasts often find it challenging to afford such events, TED and EUD are offering Special Funding for Young Creatives. This initiative aims to bring fresh ideas and a wealth of experience from young participants who actively share the Gospel through social media.
Application Criteria
A total of 10 young creatives, aged 18-25, will be selected from TED, EUD, and special guests from the Euro-Asia Division (ESD) and Ukraine. Applicants must:
1. Be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
2. Use personal social media or social media projects to share the Gospel.
3. Ensure their projects are non-institutional and not already funded by the Church.
How to Apply
To apply, candidates should create a two-minute video in English (or with English subtitles) introducing their project or ministry. The video should explain what they do and why it is relevant. Simple phone recordings are acceptable.
Applicants should send their video to their local Union/Field Communication Director, who will verify that the candidate is a Church member in good standing and meets the selection criteria. Verified applications will then be forwarded to the TED/EUD Communication directors.
Application Deadline: 31 July 2024
Announcement of Winners: 10 September 2024
What Winners Will Receive
TED and EUD will cover accommodation, meals, registration, and travel expenses (up to 500 euros for flights) for each of the 10 winners (visa costs not included). Winners will have the opportunity to present their projects in a seven-minute video during GAiN Europe 2024 and will also benefit from networking and additional support for their initiatives.
Selection Process
The proposals will be reviewed and selected by the GAiN Europe organising team, including Paulo Macedo, David Neal, Vanesa Pizzuto, Klaus Poppa, and Corrado Cozzi. Their decision will be final.
