The Rest of the Story - GC Session Morning Update

“Tell the truth with tact and love, but to tell it,” says Dwain Esmond

Attendees representing over 200 countries around the world were welcomed this morning to the “Dome” at America’s Center by a group of Ukrainian Adventists dressed in traditional clothing. The group was taking the time to hand small blue-and-yellow flags to thank the attendees for their prayers and support during these challenging times. The same spirit of gratitude and camaraderie was felt as the congregation sang together after years of Covid-enforced social distancing.

Dwain Esmond shared the morning devotional. Esmond, the Associate Director of the Ellen G. White Estate, inspired the delegates to tell “the rest of the story”, to dare and preach an unedited version of the Gospel even when it is countercultural. Esmond challenged the present to declare that “Evangelical support to white supremacy is bankrupt” and to “tell the truth with tact and love, but to tell it.”
