New look for Moor Close Lounges and Chapel

1 August, 2019 | Binfield, UK [Kirsty Watkins] Moor Close holds a special place in the hearts and memories of Newbold alumni, students, staff and members of the wider College and Church community. Built in 1864-65, it is the oldest building on campus, and it is with pleasure that we announce that, following an extensive planning application process, and with consent from Bracknell Forest Council, areas of the ground floor of Moor Close have now been refreshed and upgraded.

31 July 2019 | Ardingly, UK [Victor Hulbert]   In an astonishing display of planning and efficiency, a team of 250 volunteers not only set up meeting rooms, marquees and activity spaces, but despite a day of rain and gales, helped campers pitch tents, restore flattened marquess, and redesign flagpoles that flattened under the pressure of the wind. To top that, the team then fed all 4,000 campers a hearty meal finishing just in time for the 8pm opening programme.

Half of Polish baptisms generated from one, special campground

28 July 2019 | Zatonie, Poland [Victor Hulbert]  They come for many reasons – but they principally come because of the dream of one man, Ryszard Jankowski. Thirty years ago, he was Youth and Pathfinder director for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Poland. Desperate for a campground for youth and Pathfinders he was told about a remote location deep in the forest. On visiting the campground he noted, among other things, graffiti on an outbuilding facing the lake, “God doesn’t exist”.

The latest project, ‘Uncertainty’, is the most ambitious yet, and involves even more studios across the world.”

Missionary book of the year launched in Poland

24 July 2019 | Zatonie, Poland [Victor Hulbert] Thirty-thousand copies of the 2019 Missionary Book of the year, Hope for today’s families, will soon be distributed across the population of Poland following a launch at the Polish Union Camp Meeting on Sabbath, 20 July.
