4 October 2017 | St Albans  [ted<\/em>NEWS] \u201cAnd it\u2019s a wrap,\u201d declared Dragana Selakovi\u0107 at the end of a final day of filming Reformation Journey<\/strong>, a seven-part social media video series aimed at explaining some of the major themes of the Reformation.  The first episode releases on Thursday, 5 October.<\/p>\n

\"Reformation<\/a>\u201cThese are important events that happened 500 years ago,\u201d explains Trans-European Division Communication director, Victor Hulbert, \u201cbut we need to make it relevant for today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n

\u201dIn order to help answer that question, Hulbert teamed up with Dejan Stojkovi\u0107, a young pastor and Youth director who runs his own v-blog<\/a>.  His whacky humour, combined with Hulbert\u2019s journalism, and the artistic creativity of videographer Selakovi\u0107, helps make the connection.<\/p>\n

\u201cAsk a teenager or young adult about the Reformation and they just kind of look at your blankly,\u201d states Stojkovi\u0107.  \u201cI did some research and they can\u2019t see the point of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Reformation<\/a>Hopefully, that will now change as the duo travel to key venues in Germany, Italy and the UK. Taking the tourist route, they talk to a Waldensian descendent in a mountaintop village; discover how the reformation celebrations have made an impact even in Rome; learn how \u2018Luther art\u2019 in a church in Wittenberg is surprisingly contemporary; and see how even medieval politics could not stop the spread of the Gospel.  <\/p>\n

\u201cThese videos are amazing,\u201d states Andre Brink of Adventist Review TV (ARTV). \u201cWell done! Beautiful cinematography, well presented, good storyline and well executed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Reformation<\/a>\u201cIt\u2019s been a fascinating journey,\u201d Hulbert states. \u201cWe met some enthralling experts \u2013 but I have to say learning more about Martin Luther and his combination of conscience, Scripture and reason really moved me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I see what these guys went through just to own, or translate the Bible, the risks they took \u2013 it makes me think this is something I simply cannot take for granted,\u201d Stojkovi\u0107 confesses.  \u201cI hope that message gets through to our audience as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
