Has an \u2018enforced\u2019 rest modified the way we look at Sabbath? How about mission? Will we do it differently?<\/p>\n<p>To answer those questions, we invited three guests to join us for TED Words of Hope 10: Sabbath, church, and mission: The post-lockdown view.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtu.be\/hlLIHhdsX_k<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mission<br \/><\/strong><strong>Nenad Jepuranovi\u0107<\/strong>, TED treasurer, shares how careful planning, revised budgeting, and a focus on the core reason for our existence as a church was reflected in financial decisions taken during the Trans-European Division Spring Executive Committee on Monday, 18 May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faith<\/strong><br \/><strong>Zlatko Musija<\/strong>, TED Youth director, thinks back to his childhood and youth. He grew up as an Adventist in communist Yugoslavia. What was the secret to his coming to faith, and how did his faith need to grow in understanding so that, even growing up in a dysfunctional home with an abusive father, he could learn of and accept a perfect, loving, Heavenly Father.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sabbath delight<\/strong><br \/>How are you spending Sabbath these days? An Adventist friend recently posted a lovely photo of her family having fun out in nature. She wrote, \u201cThis new way of doing Sabbath is very much to my liking. True rest for the soul.\u201d Further in the discussion, she said, \u201cI think I let Sabbath and church become just another busy day. That\u2019s going to change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Patrick Johnson<\/strong>, TED Ministerial Association secretary, confesses that for him, Sabbath is now a different and more restful experience.
