See me. Walk with me.\u201d Official entries opened on 1 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative provides a platform for children and young adults to serve as advocates for displaced people through creative expression. The programme concludes with an awards ceremony on World Refugee Sabbath, 20 June 2026.<\/p>\n<h2>Contest Theme and Vision<\/h2>\n<p>The 2026 theme, \u201cHome \/ Shelter \u2013 A Place to Belong,\u201d encourages participants to explore the concepts of safety, hospitality, and community. Artworks generated by artificial intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Format<\/strong>: Digital submission of a high-quality photograph of the physical artwork via the official website.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Usage rights<\/strong>: By submitting, participants grant ADRA the right to use the artwork for organisational communication (online and offline), with appropriate attribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Timeline and Selection Process<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Opening date<\/strong>: 1 February 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Submission deadline<\/strong>: 31 March 2026<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jury review<\/strong>: An international panel will select finalists for public consideration.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public voting<\/strong>: Commencing in April 2026 via ADRA Europe\u2019s social media channels.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Awards ceremony<\/strong>: Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony on 20 June 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All participants will receive a certificate of participation, and category winners will receive prizes.<\/p>\n<h2>Resources for Educators and Parents<\/h2>\n<p>ADRA Europe prioritises the well-being and privacy of all participants. Educators and parents are encouraged to focus on the imaginative and symbolic aspects of the theme rather than personal biographies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Safeguarding<\/strong>: Participants are not required to share personal histories or depict their actual residences.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Educational materials<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/adradrive.adra.cloud\/s\/ZyJcipN6WBLfDgp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Age-appropriate prompts and safeguarding guidelines<\/a> are available.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Supplementary learning<\/strong>: For technical data and educational modules on refugees and migration, ADRA Europe recommends the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/what-we-do\/build-better-futures\/education\/teaching-about-refugees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UNHCR resource portal<\/a>\u00a0for age groups 6\u201318.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Mission Context<\/h2>\n<p>This contest aligns with ADRA\u2019s core values of compassion, justice and hospitality. Currently, millions of people are classified as refugees, meaning those forced to cross international borders due to conflict, persecution or climate-related disasters. According to the UNHCR, there are over 110 million forcibly displaced people worldwide.
