Under the theme \u201cCommunity Transformed,\u201d participants organised a blood donation campaign in partnership with the Qendra e Transfuzionit t\u00eb Gjakut (Blood Transfusion Centre) and assembled hygiene kits for distribution to disadvantaged families in the neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_22477\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-22477\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-22477 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630.jpg\" alt=\"Albanian volunteers donate blood for GYD\" width=\"630\" height=\"354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630.jpg 630w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630-500x280.jpg 500w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/group-pic-630-350x197.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-22477\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Albanian Mission youth with the medical team at the Tirana Central Church.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>A Call to Serve Through Blood Donation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dr Viola Konimi, a Qendra e Transfuzionit t\u00eb Gjakut representative and part of the medical team supporting the initiative, emphasised the life-saving impact of the volunteers&#8217; actions. \u201cThe average demand for blood in our country is 100 donations per day. Every donation is vital, as it can save up to three lives,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For first-time donor Mario Shushka, the experience was unforgettable\u2014both daunting and deeply rewarding. \u201cI had always wanted to donate blood but never had the courage. I felt some anxiety, but also a great sense of fulfilment. Knowing that such a small act could save lives was truly rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Ministries leader Irilda Braho emphasised the blood donation initiative&#8217;s spiritual significance: \u201cDonating blood follows the model of Jesus. He helped many people during His life, and in the end, He gave His life for us.\u201d Addressing how quickly first-time donors&#8217; fears can dissipate, she added, \u201cThe first step is raising awareness about the importance of this action.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Faith and Community Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beyond the humanitarian efforts, the event fostered a spirit of unity and service through music, prayer, and moments of reflection. Prayer Ministiries leader, Euxhenia Bregasi, described the experience as deeply moving. \u201cBeing part of such a passionate group of young people was uplifting and encouraging. Seeing faith and service come together to make a tangible impact on our community was humbling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adriel Henke, Albanian Mission Youth Director and event organiser, reflected on the broader mission of service. \u201cBlood donation is just one of many ways we can serve the community. As the story of the prophet Nehemiah shows, we don\u2019t need wealth or influence to make a difference\u2014just sensitive hearts and the faith to act.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For volunteer Restiola Bregasi, the experience was a reminder of the power of solidarity and faith in action. \u201cIt was truly a beautiful and meaningful time! Coming together with the shared purpose of helping those in need was a blessing.
