{"id":13799,"date":"2023-03-16T08:00:28","date_gmt":"2023-03-16T08:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/?p=13799"},"modified":"2023-03-16T08:00:28","modified_gmt":"2023-03-16T08:00:28","slug":"in-converstation-with-the-hope-media-ukraine-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/in-converstation-with-the-hope-media-ukraine-director\/","title":{"rendered":"In Converstation with the Hope Media Ukraine Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>March 15 2023 | Darmstadt, Germany [EUD with <em>tedNEWS<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>In an interview conducted during a <a href=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/communication-that-brings-hope-through-christ\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visit to the Hope Media Europe<\/a> centre in Darmstadt, Germany, Trans-European (TED) and Inter-European Division (EUD) leaders took the opportunity with Maxim Krupski, Hope Media Ukraine director, on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of the war.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst, we saw people suffering and leaving and we thought everything was lost\u201d shared Maxim in an interview led by Vanessa Pizzuto, Associate director of TED Communication, and Samuel Gil, Hope Media Spain director. \u201cThen we started to help people with their basic, essential needs. Right after the first few months of war, we realized there is an opportunity to evangelize. He continued, \u201cWe\u2019ve already had more than 1,000 baptisms since the beginning of this terrible war. And we inaugurated a new studio in the summer,\u201d he announced with elation. \u201cIf you had told me we would inaugurate a studio, even before the war, I wouldn\u2019t have believed it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine has suffered the terrible consequences of violence and hardship for the last year. At the church level, 8,000 of the 30,000 members have left the country. But the mission grows with 100 staff members continuing to work in the seven studios of Hope Media Ukraine. \u201cWe thank all for supporting our people and our members.
