On the small Croatian island of Fratarski, bathed by the beautiful crystal-clear water of the Adriatic Sea, 130 young people, representing ten countries, unplugged from all the distractions of this technological modern society to plug in with each other and with God.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed wp-block-embed-youtube is-type-video is-provider-youtube epyt-figure\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><div class=\"epyt-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  id=\"_ytid_63366\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"  data-origwidth=\"800\" data-origheight=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tc962rCaw5k?enablejsapi=1&origin=https:\/\/ted.adventist.org&autoplay=0&cc_load_policy=0&cc_lang_pref=&iv_load_policy=1&loop=0&rel=0&fs=1&playsinline=0&autohide=2&theme=dark&color=red&controls=1&\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  no-lazyload\" title=\"Fratarsi Student Camp 2022 Croatia\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/figure>\n<p>Camping on Fratarski island is now a 15-year-old tradition! It started out when a small group of friends from Pula &#8211; a seafront city near Fratarski \u2013 wanted to spend quality time together during the summer. The event grew year after year, even though there is no electricity or mobile-phone reception on the island (or perhaps precisely because of that!). The only buildings on the island are showers and toilets, making it a perfect oasis to connect with each other free from distractions, to enjoy nature, and get closer to God.<\/p>\n<p>A regular day at Fratarski summer camp includes an inspiring morning worship, swimming in the beautiful Adriatic Sea,\u00a0 followed by a tasty barbecue lunch. This is followed in afternoon with games, workshops,\u00a0 and more swimming and playing volleyball. The day ends with dinner, more sports, evening worship, and social night.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_11746\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11746\" style=\"width: 630px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-11746 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"354\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630.jpg 630w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630-500x280.jpg 500w, https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Summer-camp-2022-630-350x197.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-11746\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">130 students gathered on Fratarski island, 14-21 August 2022 [Photos: Timotej Go\u0161ev]<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Friday night and Saturday worships were a special time for all campers, \u201cThis year\u2019s worships were not only inspiring due to the sermons, but also because so many youth shared their testimonies,\u201d said Melinda Dedu\u0161, a camp participant.<\/p>\n<p>Guest speaker, Pastor Dejan Stojkovi\u0107, Trans-European Division (TED) Youth director, joined Fratarski Camp with his whole family. His messages revealed that \u201cGod really does accept us just the way we are and that we should not hesitate to become true followers of Jesus and not just fans,\u201d Dedu\u0161 shared.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the week was the Sabbath baptism service in the Adriatic Sea. \u201cMore than 200 people joined us in the celebrations as seven young people made the best decision of their lives,\u201d Dedu\u0161 said. \u201cBut we know there are many more angels celebrating with us too!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been camping at Fratarski for more than 10 years now and can say with full confidence that it never gets old or boring!
