Adventists in the United Kingdom are joining the celebrations marking significant event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe thank God for the life of our monarch, Queen Elizabeth II. It is an amazing achievement that she has served not only the United Kingdom, but other 14 countries as well, faithfully as the Head of State,\u201d said pastor Eglan Brooks, British Union Conference president. \u201c70 years of service is truly remarkable. As the Seventh-day Adventist Church in British Isles, we take this opportunity to mingle with our communities over the forthcoming weeks, in new and engaging ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Jubilee Spiritual<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>On 1 June, a special vocal and musical arrangement of the <em>Jubilee Spiritual<\/em> was released.\u00a0 The arrangement, of <em>Great Day <\/em>by renowned musician, Tina Brooks, is a based on the words found in Leviticus 25 and it highlights the Biblical meaning of jubilee.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed wp-block-embed-youtube is-type-video is-provider-youtube epyt-figure\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><div class=\"epyt-video-wrapper\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\"  id=\"_ytid_35129\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"  data-origwidth=\"800\" data-origheight=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/UfAb-P8zhCg?enablejsapi=1&origin=https:\/\/ted.adventist.org&autoplay=0&cc_load_policy=0&cc_lang_pref=&iv_load_policy=1&loop=0&rel=0&fs=1&playsinline=0&autohide=2&theme=dark&color=red&controls=1&\" class=\"__youtube_prefs__  no-lazyload\" title=\"A Jubilee Spiritual\"  allow=\"fullscreen; accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen data-no-lazy=\"1\" data-skipgform_ajax_framebjll=\"\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/figure>\n<p>The musical arrangement was co-produced by \u201cPapa Dwight\u2019 and delivered virtually by a group of young singers who performed together throughout the Covid-19 lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is awesome that this intergenerational project is complete. Our young people have much to offer and it\u2019s great to see them involved in such a project. This version of the spiritual will appeal to a contemporary audience,\u201d said pastor Kevin Johns, BUC Youth director.<\/p>\n<p>Funding for this two-part project was secured from the Trans-European Division (TED) Creative and Innovation Fund.
