{"id":1056,"date":"2015-03-24T16:19:08","date_gmt":"2015-03-24T16:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/sitenews\/2015\/03\/24\/international-bible-conference-in-novi-sad-serbia\/"},"modified":"2015-03-24T16:19:08","modified_gmt":"2015-03-24T16:19:08","slug":"international-bible-conference-in-novi-sad-serbia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/news\/international-bible-conference-in-novi-sad-serbia\/","title":{"rendered":"International Bible Conference in Novi Sad, Serbia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/sitenews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/images_news_International_Bible_Conference-Novi_Sad1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/a>24 March 2015 <span style=\"color: #808080; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 28px; text-align: justify;\">|<\/span>&nbsp;Novi Sad, Serbia [Marija Trajkovska, <em>ted<\/em>NEWS]<\/span> More than 960 participants from the South-East European Union (SEEUC) and Adriatic Union (AUC) gathered together in the Master center of Novi Sad Fair in Serbia, to take part in the International Bible Conference, on March 15 \u2013 16, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The presidents of the two Unions, Djordje Trajkovski (SEEUC) and Zlatko Musija (AUC) welcomed the conference participants&nbsp;\u2013 pastors, church elders, leaders, lay members, and guest speakers&nbsp;\u2013 during the short opening ceremony. After an inspiring brief address, Janos Kovacs Biro, the Ministerial Association Director of the Trans \u2013European Division said a special prayer for the guest speakers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/sitenews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/images_news_International_Bible_Conference-Novi_Sad_speakers.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" alignright size-full wp-image-1055\" style=\"margin-left: 10px; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/ted.adventist.org\/sitenews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/images_news_International_Bible_Conference-Novi_Sad_speakers1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>The main theme of the conference \u201cYour word is\u2026 a light to my path\u201d was further enlightened in morning and evening devotionals, presentations and workshops taken by the six guest speakers from the General Conference and Andrews University: Dwight Nelson, Angel Rodriguez, Ranko Stefanovi\u0107, Nikolaus Satelmajer, Wagner Kuhn and Artur Stele.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The music group \u201cVesnik\u201d helped the participants to learn the theme song \u201cYour word is a light\u201d, which could be heard in the halls and corridors of the Master Center throughout the weekend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well known Bible truths were reinforced in a deeper way and a new perspective was brought on those less known. A better understanding of the preaching principles and mission, together with prayers and fellowship were just some of the benefits and blessings the participants gained.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Preparing to go back to their own churches, participants were faced with the decision to commit their hearts to Jesus and follow His words. They were confronted with the crucial question of Artur Stele\u2019s closing devotional: Where does the highway of your life lead?
